Rio started her show career by going Reserve Winners Bitch both days from the puppy class at the Northern California English Cocker Specialty under judges Sandi Olsen and Kimberly Meredith Cavanagh.

Then on to the shows in Paso Robles, California and received a best puppy award under j. Houston Clark, a puppy sporting group one under j. Rick Beauchamp, and then a Best Puppy in Show under

Her next win was under breeder judge Jayne Crouch at the English Cocker Spaniel Club of Southern California where Rio was Best in Sweeps. 

Rio completed her championship on April 24, 2010.
