At 8 weeks old, we thought "Kris" showed a lot of promise.  As he grew, the promise became a reality when he won the National Specialty under breeder judge, Mary Ann Alston (Fieldstone).  This was the ULTIMATE thrill for us and a tribute to all the dogs involved in his pedigree. This boy not only had the attitude and type that made him an outstanding Cocker, he also had a pedigree that we thought could be useful to us and many other breeders.

This proved to be true as "Kris" was a positive influence to us and many others, producing many lovely qualities in his puppies.

Sadly, when he was older, he produced two cases of Familial Nephropathy (a devastating kidney disease).

We feel very strongly that anyone having him in their pedigree should be aware of this fact.  Please feel free to contact us if you would like to know more. His dam never produced this disease.
